The Eufy Robot Vacuum Review
Eufy robot vacuums are known for being easy to use. The Eufy RoboVac 30C is Wi-Fi enabled and has a wireless remote control making it simple to use the app. It also comes with boundary strips and a battery that lasts for 100 minutes.
Its Boost IQ Technology is able to transfer from tile, wood and area rugs to low-pile and area rug. Other features included in the standard package include drop and obstacle detection, which allows it to keep from hitting walls and furniture.
Boost IQ Technology
The eufy robot vacuum line has a variety of models, however there are certain features that are common across their lineup. One such feature is Boost IQ technology, which is specifically designed to aid your robot move seamlessly from hard floors to low- to medium-pile carpeting and rugs. It will automatically increase suction power when it encounters a specific type of surface to ensure it is as clean as is possible.
An important feature is the manual switch between cleaning modes. These include Quick Clean, which is perfect for a 30 minute fast sweep of your floor, Auto, which will work in an open space without switching modes, Edge, which will really focus on the corners and walls, and Spot, which works best when there's a small space that needs extra attention like spilled baking soda.
The Eufy robot is equipped with all the basic features like drop and obstacle detection and an automatic emptying base. Most robots have a standard obstacle and drop detection system. This stops them from hitting furniture or walls.
Some eufy robotics come with LED indicators that tell you what they're doing, similar to a digital clock. A solid green signalizes that the robot is in standby or charging mode, while blue means that it's active and working and a solid orange means that your eufy is running out of power and must return to its original location.
The RoboVac 11S by Eufy is a top-rated model that's an ideal fit for those who want an effective robot vacuum with an extended run time and the ability to reach the farthest corners of your home. Its slim design fits under furniture or in tight spaces. It also comes with a scratch-resistant, tempered glass cover. There's also an actual remote control, smart sensors for navigation, and multiple cleaning modes. It's missing some of the more advanced features of other models, including digital maps or apps-based controls.
Powerful Suction
This robot vacuum has an impressive suction of 2,000 pa which is ideal for removing cereal crumbs, food crumbs, and other particles of dust and debris on low- to medium pile carpeting and hard floors. It also gets rid of pet hair, dust mites and other allergens off of upholstered furniture. The side brush that rotates is useful for reaching into corners and along baseboards. The brush is able to pick dust, dirt and other debris that stick to surfaces.
The 25C is Wi-Fi connected and can be controlled from an app on your smartphone or via voice when connected to a smart home speaker like an Amazon Echo or Google Assistant. It also comes with a small charging station that holds the vacuum cleaner while not in use.
All eufy robot vacuums come with a number of standard features, including obstacle and drop detection to prevent it from running into objects or falling down the stairs. Certain models, such as the eufy RoboVac 11S and its re-engineered eufy RoboVac 30C MAX even offer advanced navigation systems that create and store a virtual map of your floors so it is aware of where to go (and the best places to stay away from) each time it cleans.
You can set up certain areas and tailor cleaning cycles for the eufy robotic vacuum without the Alexa compatible app or voice-controlled controls. And you can also cordon off rooms that contain delicate items, like your kids' toys or console tables. This eufy has two boundary strips which allow you to cordon off larger areas.
The RoboVac 11S MAX from Eufy is among the top-performing robotic vacuums we tested and has received high marks for cleaning capability and navigation. Its design is minimalist with a single button on the top to wake it up and an on/off switch beneath for a permanent turn-off, as well as a glass-tempered surface with ten infrared sensors to keep away from obstacles, and the 0.15-gallons of 0.6-liter dust bin. Its redesigned navigation system is equipped iPath technology, which creates and stores a floor map for your floor. It makes use of this information to quickly navigate to each part of your home and ensure it covers every inch.
Convenient App Control
Similar to many robot vacuums that are available, eufy's models come with intelligent features that allow you to control your device from a distance. This includes the ability to set cleaning times, designate virtual boundaries that stop your robot from entering certain areas (such as rooms that are stuffed with electrical cords) and set the'return to base' feature. Some even let you draw a the map of your home and mark areas you'd like to clean.
Some of the top-of-the line vacuum cleaners made by eufy have the navigation system known as "smart mapping" that analyzes your home and creates maps it uses every time it cleans. This allows the vacuum cleaner to effortlessly move between floors that are unfinished and area rugs, and then back again, without missing a step.
The RoboVac 25C, for example, is a perfect illustration of this model. It has three suction power settings that you can choose via the companion app "Standard", "Turbo" which improves the performance of the machine when cleaning floors that are not clean and "Max", which is specifically designed to clean floors with high piles.
Its battery performance is excellent it allows the vacuum to run for up to 100 minutes in its standard Standard mode. The vacuum also comes with an internal indicator for the battery that flashes blue when the vacuum is charging, turns pulsing orange when it's low in power, and then changes to blue when it's fully charged.
Another feature that is cool is the "Spot Cleaning mode, which allows you to force the vacuum to concentrate on a narrow localized area by pressing a button at its base. This is a great way to get crumbs or pet hair out of corners or under furniture where a conventional vacuum would struggle to reach.
The elegant RoboVac also does a fantastic job at removing pet hair on different flooring types, but it may require several more passes to clear hairy areas that are stubborn in carpets with high and low pile. It's not as adept in taking hair off of crevices and cracks on carpeted floors as it is for bare floors. However it does an excellent job of picking up pet fur from both naked and covered surfaces.
100 Minutes of Cleaning
The eufy robotic vacuum can be cleaned for up to 100 minutes, and then it will automatically return to its charging base. It is able to work on multiple floors and comes with an efficient vacuum that can remove anything from cereal crumbs to glitter tiny specks. A durable brush roll and a side brush help it reach crevices and corners that might be out of reach for other robots.
The battery-powered robo-vacuum is operated using the remote control that comes with it or by sending commands via Wi-Fi using your smartphone or smart-home assistant. You can also adjust the Boost IQ feature which maximizes suction power according to the kind of floor it is working on.
The G30 Edge, like other elegant robotics, is designed to move around your home in a minimally-setup manner. It takes just a minute to snap on the rotating edge brushes and connect to your home Wi-Fi. Once connected, the app allows you to set up cleaning routines and utilize voice commands via a smart home speaker compatible.
A lot of eufy robotics offer this level of customization which lets you select the specific areas that you want it to focus on and when you want it to clean. The app allows you to define virtual boundaries that stop the robot from entering areas where there could be electrical cords or other obstacles.
Some eufy products include an intuitive map, which utilizes a combination of sensors to determine the positions of walls and furniture. It then draws a route to cover the area. Other models use an algorithm for navigation called iPath which is a more advanced. In these instances, a robotic vacuum uses an algorithm that creates the path, and then follow it until it reaches the specified area. The robot returns to its dock and charges, waiting for its next scheduled cleaning.
Other models of the eufy vacuum don't have this level of intelligence. These models that are entry-level are typically the cheapest and do not employ an electronic robot vacuum and mop map system. Instead, they map an undetermined path each when they start cleaning. Although this can be a bit frustrating at times, the eufy robot always manages to cover the same areas repeatedly. It also doesn't miss corners or other difficult-to-access areas.
